Give it Up! Top 3 Gross
Vices
By Monica D. Siembor
If you want to be skinny and healthy, you need to let go of your gross
vices. While there are many gross vices to eliminate, coffee, cheese, and
refined sugar are certainly on the top of the list. These “foods”
are highly cooked and processed. They are extremely addictive, and you’re
complicating your life by letting them get a hold of you.
When you let go of your addictions to cooked and processed foods, you will
fully experience and truly enjoy the scrumptious flavors raw fruits and
greens have to offer. When we eat these perfect foods, we function optimally—no
more nagging cravings, mood swings, sugar imbalances, or fatty globules
that set us off on the path of self loathing. Tender raw fruits and leafy
greens will bring you way more satisfaction than any cooked food you think
you can’t live without. What’s more, you’ll finally be
skinny and healthy, focusing on living your life instead of living for your
next cooked-food fix.
Let’s examine these top 3 gross vices:
COFFEE
Face it—coffee makes your breath stink like a sewer. Aside from
its offensive effects on your breath, it’s also highly acidic. High
acidity in the body causes you to become fat as you produce more fat cells
to protect your organs from the acidity. If this isn’t a good enough
reason to give up coffee, how about this one . . . it’s laden with
chemical pesticides as the beans are imported from countries that use pesticides
to grow their crops. Plus, the sugar and milk you add to your daily brew
only exacerbate the problem as they are highly acidic and addictive as well.
It’s time to trade in your cup of Joe for a banana mango smoothie.
CHEESE
Don’t panic. I know this is going to be a tough one for most of
you, but it has to go. You will never be skinny and healthy if you continue
to eat cheese or any diary products for that matter. Cheese is one of the
worst foods for you as it is one of the most putrefied foods. It is made
by the process of rotting the casein in milk with bacteria. The result is
a putrefied, fermented, highly addictive, highly acidic product—cheese.
It is also pasteurized, a fancy word for cooked. Because dairy products
are pasteurized, they cause acidity and excess mucus in the body that lead
to allergies, colds, and eventually more serious illnesses. According to
Dr. Douglas N. Graham, if dairy products were eliminated from our diets,
“hospitals would virtually empty out and physicians’ waiting
rooms would be mostly vacated.” Cheese is also extremely hard to digest
and ferments in the digestive tract, resulting in toxic residue and excess
fat. Since 70% - 80% of the calories in cheese come from fat, you’ll
be amazed at the amount of weight you will lose by giving it up.
REFINED SUGAR
It’s everywhere, in cereals, condiments, junk food, restaurant food,
“health” foods, etc. Eventually, it ends up on your hips and
thighs in dimply fatty globules. Food manufactures know how highly addictive
this substance is, so they add it to everything so you’ll keep coming
back for more. Don’t let the sugar industry push this drug on you
anymore. It causes severe imbalances in your blood sugar level and leads
to mood swings, poor concentration, depression, and exhaustion. When eaten
with a high fat diet, diabetes is often the result. It also contributes
to an overproduction of yeast—nasty! And don’t even think about
sugar-free foods or sugar substitutes, such as Sweet-N-Low, NutraSweet,
and Equal. These dangerous chemical concoctions are even more acidic and
addictive than refined sugar, so you’ll gain even more weight and
create even more fat cells by consuming these little devils. Break free
from the sugar blues—opt for fruit instead.
Of course you will have cravings for these foods at first. Once your body
detoxifies, however, and you are clean and pure, the cravings will diminish.
Trade all of these gross vices in for fruit—fruit, fruit, and more
fruit. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have luscious
fruit than pesticide laden coffee, putrid fermenting cheese, and fat producing
refined sugar.
Remember to transition at your own pace. Depending on where you are in
your raw journey, you may choose to give up these gross vices all at once,
give them up over time, or just limit them in you diet. Always, the key
is: increase your consumption of tender fruits and leafy greens, and decrease
your consumption of cooked and processed foods.
